CSR are very pleased to lend their support to the Invictus Games Sydney 2018
The Invictus Games, founded by the Duke of Sussex (Prince Harry) in 2014, is an international adaptive sports event that celebrates the healing power of sport. The games will take place in Sydney 20-27 October, and will host more than 500 competitors from across 18 nations competing in 11 adaptive sports.
The events will be staged across greater Sydney and spectators will enjoy free entry for road cycling and sailing events to name a few.
The games encourage greater participation and highlight the benefits of sport, as well as the mental health challenges faced by active and veteran defence service personnel. Don’t miss your chance to be in the stands to cheer on the wounded, injured and sick former and current servicemen and women who will take part in the Games.
The opening ceremony was held on Saturday 20 October and was an opportunity to welcome competitors from around Australia and the world. The closing ceremony will be held on Saturday 27 October and will be a celebration of the outstanding achievements and awe-inspiring spirit of our competitors.
